Project Hope

An all-in-one project aimed at promoting health, education, social interaction, economic development, and the environment in Peru. Project Hope calls for the transformation of an area comprised of 7 communities and close to 10,000 inhabitants, many of whom live in cardboard and straw dwellings with no running water nor sewage, and surrounding a large trash dump.
Project Hope is transforming a trash dump into a recreational park, promote a composting center for the trash to provide a source of valuable income to the communities, install latrines, bring water to those who don’t have it accessible, implement a housing program to replace all cardboard houses with solid wood, help all families to obtain titles to their property, educate all families on caring for their health and the environment, promote education, and implement a job placement program as means to help break the poverty cycle.
